I am Jaleesa Chary. I studied Lifestyle at the Willem de Kooning academy. During my study I developed myself as a conceptual fashion stylist, creative director and autonomous artist.
I describe myself as a raw being, which reflects on my work as an artist. Most of my works are about awareness around blackness/whiteness, sexuality and identity. When I work I like to see the human body as a sculpture in the making.
It is embraced by minimalism with an element of surrealism.
Although my work mostly is about awareness, it does not need to be educational.
